Our take
I picked up the Heater XN8 wedge set to fill the gap between my pitching wedge and sand wedge. The 50°, 54°, and 58° lofts cover all the key distances around the green. The stainless steel heads feel solid, and the stiff steel shafts give me good control. The 35.5-inch length is standard, and the blade shape suits my eye. I do wish the bounce was a bit more consistent across the set—the 58° has only 6° bounce, which can dig in softer turf. But for $180, you get three wedges that perform well. The gap and sand wedges are my favorites; the lob wedge takes some practice. Overall, a solid value for golfers wanting to upgrade their short game without breaking the bank.
